Hi Everyone, I would really appreciate the help and advise. Having read several threads regarding entry level to Bain, BCG, it is evident that an Oxbridge background is an advantage. I have obtained an MSc and 2:1 in a business degree but lack the straight A's at A- level (B,B, C) and Oxbridge background. I have 3 years experience within a research/analytical role working for a global research firm (seen as a competitor to management consultancies). I currently work with CEOs, CFO, CIO from FT 500 and FTSE 100 companies on critical management projects such as M&A, Strategies (very similar to consulting work) but looking to develop my career within a management consultancy. Do I stand a chance against Oxbridge candidates? Thanks,H

Unlikely in my opinion...If you apply later on inyour career with relevant functional or sectoral experience that they need then maybe, but what really gets in your way is not the university, but the A-levels. You would really need B,b,b or above to be considered for MBB. But that doesn't mean you can't apply for other equally reputable and equally accomplished consulting firms. The pay differential are not that marked, if at all. As I always say repeatedly and with painstaking insistence: avoid those IT charlatans at ACN.ZB
