Dear all, in a bit of a dilemma here. Wife is from India and she has not settled at all in the UK. Over the last couple of weeks she's mentioned that we should move back to India. I initially laughed this off but now am seriously thinking about it as it's one of the fastest growing economies etc etc. I work in IT Strategy so not a proper Management Consultant as such.Any thoughts? Am I stupid to consider such a move or is this an opportunity to work in one of the most dynamic places in the world at the moment (and keep the wife happy)?Any thoughts most appreciated.

Hi cs97mmr2,why not, for 40k per year I would go on a 6 or 12 months assignment to india as well - since I am european my home is in europe but for you that might not be the problem.if you and your wife think about children I can just say, pick a safe and clean place as you would anywhere else.thats what I think, but I am only 25 so family issues are not really the thing I can talk about

Your wife has come to the UK to try things here and has not settled; fair is fair so it is her turn to take priority - take a role in India and put your family first. The world economy will survive.
