Hi, i'm having one of those late twenties stuck in the wrong career moments and I have had for a while the bright idea to switch into management consulting in the long run. Currently I am a chartered tax advisor working as a private client tax manager! Does anyone have any ideas how I can go into the area as an experienced professional.. due to somewhat sizeable mortgage (haven't we all) I'm not really up for risking starting from complete stratch on some kind of graduate scheme! Also wasn't sure whether doing an MBA would be the best route in?! Any advice welcome! x

you could give a go in mgmt consulting - tax. firms like deloitte, pwc Capgem(e&Y) have massize MC as well as Tax practices. they also do loads of tax consulting. while an MBA is icing on the cake, your experience is the core. Try approaching the like of the above mentioned firms without an MBA - u cud be lucky after all! All the best!
