I know this forum is generaly used to discuss management consultancy issues but I could do with the innnate problem-solving skills all you strategists and management consultants out there have. I'm a final year undergraduate and am very keen to begin a career in brand consultancy when I graduate. I have an internship with a management consultancy firm under my belt and experience in the advertising industry with some more set up for the Summer with a world-renowned ad agency. But, due, in part, to the very flat market and the general tendency of brand consultancies to not recruit raw grads I'm finding it a bit tricky finding a suitable role for a high calibre, recent grad in an actaul brand consultancy firm. However, I have posssible opportunities open to me in both strategy market research consultancy and account planning in advertising. Does anyone had any advice on whether either of these paths may lend itself to brand consultancy later on, when i am no longer a 'raw' graduate and looking to transfer my skills?
