Hi Guys, A question - i'm really pleased to have been promoted from analyst to consultant at Accenture this week and i have a nice pay rise to go with it. However, I was wondering, is it ever possible to negotiate on internal pay increases? I'm not sure i need to as mine was quite satisfactory but as such rises are imposed rather than discussed, i wondered if anyone had ever successfully questioned them?Thanks.

Yes, write a letter to HR demanding that they give you an additional 15% due to your hard work and outstanding achievement. You will find that they then write back offering you 7.5%, which you can then accept.

What were the payrises from C1 to C2 this time round? Are they going to stiff people like they did last time?

All the people promoted to C1 last March didn't go to C2 and won't do until Sept. £52k as a C2 would be pushing it...

What were the ranges for C1 on promotion. I heard the some people went up to £39K which to be honest would suck! current analyst salary is £31K and although it is a nice jump I would be much happier with the £45K lumping (you might not be suprised to know)

I think 39 is about market rate. 45 is actually very good for a C1.What are A2's on?

Thanks for the responses guysI'm not sure on the overall promotions breakdown but i believe there were fewer A2 to C1 promotions than normal. I'm on ca. £41k but have only been with the company 18months so i have one less annual % increase under my belt than some others. For example, I know quite a few C1s who were promoted after 24-30 months who are on ca. £45k as a result.I guess i should be up to about that level following the september pay review all being well.

My friend who was promoted to C2 in Sept tells me his pay rise was 10k, which I guess would put him around the 52k mark (though he might have been on something quite low beforehand, given the crap rises last year)

Well if i could get 10K i qould be happy i am a c1 on 48K
