I have been following this board for a while and have increasingy come to the view that it would benefit from some form of segmentation. E.g. the guys at the big IT consultancies who spend months 'at the client site' clearly have a very different perspective on consultancy to a guy in corporate strategy who only spends a few days at the client site before returning back to their office. Could we potentially have two boards?

Yes, and maybe one for grads with all their ACN/EY/Deloitte assessment day questions and another one for experienced consultants

I don't know people working at Accenture, Capgem etc even call themselves consultants. Last time I checked messing around in Java and SAP was called programming or 'back office'.

i think looking at the term 'consultant' in the dictionary may be more relevant (i.e. "One who gives expert or professional advice")by the very definition of the word we are all consultants, just in different fields. i think its pretty ironic that its us strat guys that seem to miss the bigger picture
