I think my clients an idiot and every time he talks I want to bury my fist in his face. I was thinking about this whilst he was waffling on and I almost started laughing.I know the expression "never bite the hand that feeds" etc etc but any ideas given that the project is ongoing for the foreseeable future?

He was probably thinking the same about you.In fact, that's true for all your clients for all of you.

Yup, you're probably mid-20s thinking you're ace as you earn on a par with your client yet are totally useless. Note to self, key performance indicator in the real world is not how many PowerPoint slides per day are produced.

'Plank' - from your post it appears that you're a client and you don't rate/like consultants. If this is true, two questions:1. Why do you come to a website that is primarily for consultants given you don't like them?2. Why use consultants if all you think they are good for is power points?

Bitchslap - I find that with some clients it is easy to build rapport (generally due to matching personalities), but with others it's harder. Where it's harder I tend to take emotion out of the situation and don't try to build rapport but simply focus on doing a top quality job. Once (and obviously if) the client is impressed with the work and appreciates the value added it's much easier to build a working relationship.

Right, now I have truly had enough. Another last minute (previously undiscussed) requirement has slid in under the radar. I am going to gauge out his eyes and skull f@ck him.
