5+ years experience could also mean working as a manager of consulting projects in the relevant field.Junior project management positions are more commonly filled by grads, admin staff, team leads, etc. rather than treated or advertised as project management roles specifically. Only at more senior project/programme management levels is it worth looking for professional project managers (because generic skills and general domain experience become more important than particular expertise in one sub-stream).
