How would a top business school view a career change from consulting to investment banking prior to business school? I have been at Accenture (MCIM) for 2 years and am a consultant (C1). I have been offered an analyst position at a well regarded bulge bracket investment bank in mergers and acquisitions. While I believe that the ibanking job would offer more money and better career prospects long-term (private equity, ibanking, etc.), I am concerned that business schools would view this move as a "step down" and a move away from managerial/leadership experience. What do you advise?
