Any thoughts on the relative advantages and/or disadvantages of these two firms? If you had an offer from both, which would you take? Finally, does anyone know what the salary is for entry-level graduates at OW Management Consulting? Many thanks!

No brainer. OW all the way. Better brand, better projects, potential to do an MBA from a top school and you can take an extra month of unpaid leave. Deloitte's hours will be better but apart from that there's few advantages in taking their offer.

I would say that Jo's right - OW is a league on top of Deloitte. The salary is much higher, it's a much better brand on your CV and you'll learn a lot faster. OW is more comparable to the likes of Marakon and Monitor than Deloitte. From what I've seen firsthand of OW they do work hard and their approach is quite dull, but I doubt they're the worst in the business in that.Entry-level salaries will be roughly comparable (others will know better, I'd guess 30k for Deloitte and 35k for OW), but after 3 years OW salary could be almost twice the Deloitte one.

Could you elaborate on OW's approach? I read before that their work is "dull" - is this because they are crunching numbers day in day out, or because the topics they work on aren't the most interesting?
