Yep the resident undergrad here again...As I has mentioned somewhere earlier my goal is to get into Strategy Consulting at some point in the future. Since I'm just a first yr. that may be a long way off. While I'm on an electrical eng. batchelors degree at the moment, I've been considering a master's in Biomedical Eng. after due to interest and the applied nature of the field. I just wanted to know what kind of impact positive or negative that would have on my prospects in strat consulting, than if I just continued and did a straight electrical eng. masters.Thanks

In my experience, the only benefit people get from doing further degrees is whatever they personally take out of it – there’s not usually any gain from an employer’s point of view. If that area interests you then go ahead and do some extra study. I think an extra year before you start working is a good thing, more time to mature and more time to think about what field you want to go into afterwards.
