Hi, Here is some context: • I was interviewing for 2 different roles about 3 months ago A & B, with A being my preference• 1 month into the interview process, role A kind of stalled for a couple of internal reasons (which I didn’t know at the time) and in the meantime I got and took role B• Having been in role B for 2 months, employer A came back and asked for a final interview which I went to as didn't think it could do any harm• During the interview, they thought I was still at my old employer and for some crazy reason I didn't correct them and let them know I started role B - dumb, I know...• Now employer A have come back and want to make me an offerI am quite happy in role B, but role A is what you could call a dream job. Understand this isn’t the most ethical thing to do, but is there any way I can get the around the dumb error of not being clear on my current circumstances if I wanted to go for role A? I think there is no way this would not be flagged in the background screening. Or would it be better to just let it slide, avoid the hassle and take it as a lesson learnt? Thanks!
