Hi everyone.I hope this isn't too much of an odd question, but here we go.I've just finished my Masters Degree in Gender Theory. My first degree was in English Literature. I have a history in Theatre. Previous jobs have been mind-numbing (waitressing, receptionist) but paid for survival during education. Since graduating I've been unemployed for a while. I started doing unpaid research for a local TV station, and I've been getting some extra experience from a 'freelance' documentary producer who runs a well known one-man business. I absolutely love it; but I don't think that I'll be getting paid for it any time soon. I am creative; I can't imagine a career in an office with no creativity, stupid as this sounds to some people.I've been offered a 2 day a week job as a waitress, which works for me. I've been offered another job in a month working half days for 5 days a week as a receptionist. Last one is better money but less time for my unpaid research work. I don't want to do it but I'm in a bind because I do need the money.I used to want to do a PhD but my MA was a switch from Arts to Social Sciences, and I didn't get top grades (nothing awful but not amazing), so I doubt I can manage a PhD plus funding.I'd love to freelance as a researcher or producer or something, but I just don't know where to start. I love doing the unpaid work that I am now, but know it can't last because I need the money and stability from a job. Any advice? Thanks.Sara
