Im here to brighten it up a bit, most of the threads are from thise young grads looking to use their 2:1's and PHD's to get a 'foot' into consultancy and talk the talk etc....Thus its a bit boring for anyone with a track history, but also enlightening in terms of then vs now.I am however constantly suprised by the questions:ie:Q: Whats the starting salaryA: It does not matter if you get one offer onlyQ: Whats the expense policyA: Expenses are billable, are you a complete moron?Q: Whats the travel policyA: You build a tent out of your own clothes and hitch a lift turning up at the customer premises smelling of dank tramp pish to save £400 on a $10M dealQ: Whats betterA: For you or us?Q: PArtner interview, what to doA: Dont post here, and im surpised you follow any advice?Q: RedundanciesA: Yes, people change over time, look at yourself in the mirror and think back to what you thought you would achieve, now imagine you gave up all hope, best to let you go....Q: How good is Company XYZA: If a company will go to the ends of the earth in search of its employees it stands to reason it will find most of them there.Q: Credit checkingA: If its a default WRITE to the frikin company, and most dont register them under section 21 thus they are illegal. Dont trust Equifax as they ask the holding company if their 'records' are correct, some idiot wrote that system, its about to get the contract sued off it so dont worry about it.Q: pre-employment checksA: Can you work on a customer site without killing them?
