I've got final assessment centres coming up and I've been told that there is a written test. I assume that I'll need to write a report, make recommendations etc. but I'm concerned that my spelling is poor, especially under pressure. It's so bad I actually think I may have dyslexia but I've not had it checked out.I know how to write reports and my grammar and style are fine; it just the spelling. I normally rely on spell check. My questions are:1. Has anyone got any tips or practical advice to help me improve?2. How important is it from the recruiters’ perspective?

I can only speak about my approach based upon my experience. The writing exercise is mainly to write a summary from the information given. From my understandinig, it is more about your formal writing style, such as, the lay-out. Of course, you need to find out the useful information from the package and simply ignore the rest (which would probably be most of them). I am not a native-speaker and I believe I did quite OK. Thus, I don't think you need to worry about the gram. or the spelling. Just go out there doing your best and good luck! :-)

I did three tests at EY:1) Numerical skills (multiple choice on tables and diagrams)2) Verbal skills (multiple choice, short texts)3) Translate textThe tests are pretty easy, but the time you have is very short.
