Could anyone shed some light on what it's like working for EDS and Logica-CMG? I'm a freelance security consultant and have been offered interviews for similar roles on one of their big MOD projects(Atlas). Essentially, I just want to get a feel for the kinds of people who work there, how their renumerations package compares to similar companies, cachet of the EDS or Logica name on the CV, etc, etc. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi,I'm a long term EDSer. Currently working in ATLAS. DII is massive, loads of opportunities, although they have recruited heavily over last couple years there is always a need for more resource. Can't comment on salaries, I'm doing OK, it's down to what you can negotiate. Culture is hard to describe due to the mix of consoritum people. Given that DII will be the MoD infrastructure the experience of DII must put you in a good position for other roles in MoD. As to the people, they are a bunch of IT types really, what more can I say. My view is go for it, the experience will be good and plenty of work. Get your DV and you will be in demand. I can't comment om differences between EDS and Logica, but as EDS is prime you are working for the top table.At the end of the day it's just another IT infrastructure programme (yawn), it's just very big and complicated.Have you thought of PA?
