I was looking for the best firms to work for in the Retail or CPG consulting domain. Please take out some time provide your opinion.

For retail look at Javelin

dunnhumby specialise in the fmcg sector. If you want exposure to the biggest clients in this sector, then seriously consider this firm. They're currently growing at 50% p.a., so fast track promotion is commonplace within the firm.

I'd be very concerned about any firm that claims to be growing at 50% per year. This is likely to be an unsustained 'blip' which will in subsequent years mean they have over-capacity, and hence redundancies will follow. Remember what happened to MBBB firms after the .com boom.

Capgemini have a very good retail practice and have recently recruited some director level people from big high street retailers. They also have a very strong supply chain practice.

dunnhumby only specialise in the FMCG sector by using the Tesco Clubcard data with these clients (e.g. analysing new product launches etc) so it's quite limited if you're looking for broad strategic work. They are growing fast though and are a fun company to work for. PA have talked about a Retail practice. Deloitte have a Consumer Business team.
