I am currently interviewing with a variety of consultancies and a question which keeps popping up is "Why do you want to be a consultant?"I know the standard reponse's of:- 'working on an exciting range of projects within a variety of industries'.- 'getting a total strategic overview of a companies operations'.- 'getting to work with top quality individuals'.- 'travel opportunities'.- 'building a good reputation for myself in the market'but, was wondering if anyone had any ideas for responses which an interviewer may not have heard before and might find half interesting.Thanks

Why not be honest and say "because I want to make money and I hear that it pays quite well"?So... tell us, why DO you want to be a consultant? You must have a reason, so what is it?
