All,I work for one of the Top four consulting firms and I am seeking a move to an IB. I have approximately 6 years experience including projects in the Financial Services and Technology industry. My main focus is Business Analysis and Project Management to deliver successful technical projects.
I am keen to secure a project management role in FS and I would like to know the following:

Will it count against an applicant if my last project was not for an FS client?
Do IB's hire Project managers from consultancies with limited FS experience or are they looking for at least 2 - 3 years of FS experience?
What sort of package and training can I expect? I have looked on some recruitment web sites and have a rough figure but your input is appreciated.
Are there any consultants out there that have made the switch to an IB? If so can you share your experiences? How did you target your current job? How have you found it in comparison to consulting?
I have done some research into the IBs and I am convinced I would enjoy the challenge of working in that environment. Most consultants reach a point where industry calls and FS seems to be calling my name loud and clear...
