Hi,I'm thinking of sending off some good old fashioned speculative Covering Letters to the big consulting firms for work experience.I have already checked, and most of the applications for internships and placements have all closed.Do you think companies even consider this approach from graduates? For "work experience", the big firms will either ignore your letter or write back advising you to either apply for an internship next year or attend a careers presentation. They simply don&apos;t offer "work experience" unless you&apos;re the kid of an important client.You might be better off writing to smaller firms who don&apos;t formally offer internships as they are more likely to have unfulfilled ad-hoc needs for someone on a work experience placement.
