Does anyone have any strong views as to who will win the cricket world cup? Will consultants have any time to watch any of the matches?

Even if I had the time, I wouldn't be able to watch: I have ntl (now Virgin media), so my Sky Sports is gone! Bloody travesty them pulling a service I have paid for!!As to who will win: I reckon any of Aus, Sri Lanka, India or SA. I think South Africa might do it though - bit of a run of form at the right time. Just a question of whether the conditions favour their seam attack or whether it will go, as most pundits opine, better for the slow bowlers and spinners.Be interesting to analyse with some models: 5F, 7S, RBV, etc.

Does anyone have any strategic advice for the Scottish cricket team?

Hi question, apologies answering with another question but....Why did Scotland win the toss and field? Surely it's better to set the Aussies a 'nervous' 180 than chase 300+. My tip would be India - low slow wickets and a brilliant batting line-up.On the 'Scotland fielding first' point here's something that I need to get off my chest and didn't get a response from cricinfo..I'm a great believer in doing what the opposition would least like you to do, and so, why did Flintoff declare in Adelaide? Probably wouldn't have altered the outcome of the series but I'm sure we wouldn't have gone down 4-1 (assuming a draw). I know it's not a cricket forum, but given the recent postings it might be good to talk cricket for a while?

I wudnt be surprised if Sri Lanka reaches the final this time. They have 3-4 match winners (Jayawardene , Vaas , Murali and another batsman whose name eludes me for now ) plus experience of the likes of Jayasuria.
