Hi all! First my profile, as we all consultant wannabees do: Spanish, 30y old, PhD in Biochemistry (spanish University), Half a degree in Computer Science, actually leading a lab of 3 people in Switzerland in one of the biggest Pharmas (2.5y here). 99th percentiles in GMAT (760, AWA 6.0) and TOEFL. Fluent German speaker. I have been reading previous posts, which have already pointed me to some of the reasons for being constantly rejected at consulting companies (I'm targeting MBBB and the like). However, I would be really grateful if you could provide me some additional critical comments to the following questions:1) I have applied for two years in a round to MBBB (mainly in the UK), and I get not even an offer for interview. My CV has been checked by external HR consultant, seems OK. Although I have reached my position 3-4y earlier than my peers, one of them, not any more prepared and with no real interest in MC got invitations to McK & Bain, finally rejected offer from Bain to have a position equivalent to mine (a confortable 70K EUR/year, 40h/week). The only difference I find is this person has Harvard in the CV. Is this really so important to have Harvard/Oxbridge in your CV, or am I missing something?2) I would like to attend next year INSEAD. I think I have chances, but I'm starting to doubt it, given the constant rejection from MC companies... My salary gain won't be much afterwards, I guess, but I'm interested in having other career chances, specially in MC. Am I very delusional? Will I be considered for MBBB afterwards, or still will need that Harvard/Oxbridge line in my CV??3) Although I don't want to go back to Spain, should I apply there for MC opportunities, to have better chances? If so, what are the differences in salaries between different offices of the same company (e.g. McK Madrid vs. London?). Is there possibility to move abroad again afterwards? (Yes, I said I don't care about money too much, but I'm not going to shell out the money for a MBA and then get a position earning 20K EUR less than what I do now! I'm not that stupid either..).Thank you very much in advance for your replies, I really need some guidance, I'm afraid...
