Some excuses to use to get some time off are:
Repair men coming round e.g. The gas man, man to fix the intercom for your flat.
Taking delivery of furniture, sofas, Plasma screen
Have to sign for a recorded delivery e.g. books, electronic equipment, car parts
Have an appointment with an embassy for holidays e.g. Cuba,
Dentist, Optician appointment
Relative/Friend is coming to stay and you would like to work from home in the morning so you can pick them up in the car in the afternoon. You then go to your interview in the afternoon.
Take car to the mechanics
Return goods to a store
I could go on and on and on but there are millions of ways of getting time off for interviews. The key is to spread them out so it is not to obvious or line them up in a row and block book some time off e.g. Holidays, days in lieu.Once you have decided you want to leave a firm, telling the odd porky pie to get time off for an interview will be the least of your worries.Good luck and I hope you get the job you want.
