Anyone know approximately what the salary band is for joining KPMG Advisory at manager level? And what kind of bonus you can reasonably expect? How does this compare to similar roles in the other Big 4 firms?

The salary band at manager level at KPMG (in Advisory) is VERY large and is between £40k and £65k. Bonus last year was good at around 20% but this year it is not looking so rosy as in many sectors (such as government advisory) as targets are not being met which has lead to redundancies and a recruitment freeze. It is not a great place to be at the mo to be honest and I would advise you to look elsewhere.

I joined KPMG advisory recently. Having research salary in BIG 5, def in line. Also, much larger bonus potential - upto 40%.The manager band depends on which group you join and on your negotiation. Typically, for junior manager starts at 50k. Upto 70K for experienced.A friend recently joined a level below Manager on 50k base!I have really found KPMG to exceed my expectations (terms of projects, people and culture) thus far having joined from another BIG 4. If you have detailed questions please email me.A

London based Manager £45 to £60k.London based Senior Manager £60 to £80kIf based in the regions you'll be paid approx 10 - 15% lower but will clearly be better off anyway and will get other benefits such as office parking and full expenses when in London half of the time.

Would anyone have any more specific pay guidance for someone joining from industry, with 6 years experience coming into KPMG at a manager level?

I have heard very mixed messages regarding KPMG's RAS/consultancy arm, some being extrememly positive with almost too much work and others very negative slating culture, conservative pay and a classic accountancy firm bolt on moan etc...Can you shed any light on how the firm are doing oin various sectors adn services, what is going well and what isn't!?Cheers in advance

I recently joined KPMG Advisory as a manager at 57K basic + 4.5K car allowance (having come from 7 years at a small niche consulting firm). I understand that bonuses over the past couple of years have been in the region of 15%-23%. I don't know how this compares to the other Big 4 firms - would be interested to know, though.
