Lancaster MBA is not the classic route into strategy consulting but does have an ever improving reputation. I would guess that you should be credible as a candidate with the MBA from Lancaster, while you would be chased after if your MBA was from LBS, Wharton, INSEAD etc. I am sure that if you get through the interview process with strat firms that they will sort out the visa/permit side. Yes, strat consulting is extremely hard work

Lancaster University Management School is prestigious. It produced good quality graduates especially on its MBA programme. I recently read the story of a Lancaster University MBA grad who went on exchange to SP Jain and Peking University. She was so inspired that she decided to set up her own communications and strategy consultancy. She gave great insight on how she's been using her MBA and rated her Lancaster experience very highly. It was on MBA news and networking site BusinessBecause.
