Hello everyone,I am set to join Accenture consulting in Feb'15. I would be joining as Manager in technology architecture division. I have been invited for a new joiner networking event. I am not sure what to expect in the event. Does anyone in here have knowledge/experience of such event at Accenture? What are my best takeaways from this event if I want to make best use of my time in the event?ThanksSuhas

You are in luck. It just happens so that Accenture has only one office, which means you'll get to meet everyone they currently employ and all their 2015 new hires. All at once.In terms of takeaways - I'm quite partial to some of the Turkish mangal places in north London. If you happen to be slaving over a PPT at midnight, then justeat.co.uk would do, with the added bonus of a potential post-salmonella week off.

Pragmatically it will be a "Name Overload" event where you will meet and greet people over a drink and after about 15mins struggle to remember their names. There might as well be an ice-breaker sort of a game where you will be randomly going to people and having a chat. However, remember- networking in Accenture is the key to your next role !!All the best.
