Hi FolksI'd be grateful for the collective's knowledge on this one: I'm looking at potentially joining Accenture in Dublin as an experienced hire with 15 ears of niche industry expertise, 5 of those years as a consultant in a very small niche consultancy. I have expertise in areas which are lacking in Accenture Ireland, but for which there is now a demand.I'd be interested in views on what factors should make me aim for manager or senior manager positions, e.g. to get in at senior manager how much experience do I need in selling consultancy vs merely leading engagements with clients, and other relevant considerations. Also, does anyone know salary ranges for these roles, and other relevant info on package such as car allowance (senior manager only I think but perhaps I have that wrong)? Thanks in advance - apologies if I've missed important details and I'm happy to fill in the gaps.DG

with 15 years of experience id be surprised if you come in as a manager..if that is the case then I would join elsewhere. As a manager you are prob looking at about £70ish package (includes 5k car allowance). I am not sure if you salary is likely to be similar in dublin office or not..ill let others comment on SM salary.

Thanks for the advice tommys - it corroborates advice from two other routes on manager vs SM and I have some in demand skills.Anyone know about SM salary / package scales and entry point onto that scale as an experienced hire? Also does anyone know how Dublin vs UK ACN salaries compare?

Accenture senior manager salaries in Dublin are typically in the range of 110 - 130 K€ (note: EUROs!)No idea how that compares to the UK.

Thank you! Would you agree that I should be aiming for that level (based on info you have)?

Based on number of years working experience I would say yes:- 5 years of consulting experience would (almost) bring you at the level of a new manager- 10 additional years of industry expertise should normally weigh heavy enough to push you to the next levelTo answer to one of your first questions, senior managers are expected to take a role that combines sales and delivery management so you'll likely need to convince whomever is hiring you that you can actively sell the opportunities you see in the market.

Hi - If you were coming from just industry, I would think that there is some value in coming in top of the M grade. But, you have consulting experience and so know the game - that means you should aim for SM.What is your niche industry and I can give you a steer re the demand in Accenture Ireland?

Thanks early doors. I have a niche within public sector (but am not keen to declare my niche as it will identify me!) I'm confident in the demand for my skills, but we'll see how it turns out offer-wise.Anyone know the ACN Dublin Manager pay scale? Thanks again.
