Hi all,I am new to this forum but already read very interesting things (esp. the "what's everyone up to" thread obviously, though I did not go through it entirely...).That is why I would like to get your perspective on my situation, and choice that I am facing:Background info:- I have an offer at a MBB to enter at a pre-MBA position in this coming March- I have a seat in a top 10 MBA program starting in September- After the MBA I would like to remain in the country of the MBA for personal reasons/obligations, which is different from the country I currently live and would join MBB in I initially proposed a pre-MBA internship, but then we decided to go for a full time position given I had already an advanced degree. I know one of them personally, so I am not at ease with disappointing him/them (maybe I should have stayed on the internship option to get a "normal" choice after, but it is too late)My options:1) join MBB and discard the MBA (perfectly possible, though personal situation does not favor that for the long term as MBA country much better suits my partner's career and she has an offer to go there)2) tell them about MBA: if they agree to let me go for the MBA, join them from March to August, then go to MBA, possibly not coming back (or at a different office - possible? I heard office transfer is generally reserved for top performers, and I would only have spent a few months with them): my preferred option, then up to me to network hard for me to get accepted in the target office by the time I finish my MBA, or leave with a short MBB exposure3) tell them about the MBA: if they don't agree for MBA, join them anyway and leave in August, committing to the MBA now (I guess no future collaboration with this MBB if that's the option chosen)4) Discard MBB, do the MBA, see what happens from there (maybe join another MBB?). Would be surprising from my contact's point of viewHope the description of my situation is clear enough. Sorry for the lengthy post.I would be happy to know what are your opinions on the different options and which one would you favor. Thanks!

Why not tell mbb about your mba offer, and ask them if they'll aponsor you through it if you defer it by a year or two? It sounds like you could have landed on your feet here.
