I would like to understand the salary range for this position & how much salary difference is there for similar role in Deloitte Consulting. How much yearly growth/hike in monetary terms can we expect?PS: joining location would be London.Your responses will immensely help me judging the offer, hence looking forward for your assistance. "Manager" in Audit, surely, as SC equivalent?Salary likely a bit less than in Consulting.Pay rises in grade generally pretty minimal. The model is based on promotion. Easier to get to Partner in Audit though if you can stick it!

Its around 42 gbp for Sr Con(M11) role in london office audit advisory division.Can someone help evaluate if its decent enough to go ahead with? What is the hierarchy to go up the ladder & is salary competitive enough moving forward?Highly appreciate your time & response.Thanks.

M11 is assistant manager or consultant level rather than SC level.You can be sure salary will be carefully benchmarked to be competitive (but no better) as you progress. As you would expect from a shrewd accounting firm, they pay as much but no more than they need to.Bit different when you get to partner and get as much as a FTSE100 director but only have to manage 10-20 people and a few million P&L.

I will suggest you to join it since it is highly tagged company and thereby you can expect an optimum salary from it.

Some parts of audit advisory appear to use the Senior Consultant term. Fairly recent occurrence, not sure if it's across the whole competency.

Does that mean Sr Consultant is equivalent to Asst Manager?

Yes - in Audit Advisory, AM = SC and vice versa ... recent development (<1 year) following integration of ERS and ADG lines ... now known as Risk Advisory

[/quote]I am in the same situation being offered "low 40&apos;s" GBP for a Senior Consultant M2 level in Deloitte UK in Risk which I found was really lowWas it worth it in the end? (I have about 7-10 years experience in IT/Finance).Did you end up accepting that offer or did you counter that offer and negotiate? If so, how or what did you do?

I ended up accepting the offer. Negotiations were not entertained by the organization. It was a difficult decision to make and considering my personal goals and ambitions I took the risk with hope things might get better in future. So I would suggest you to do the similar exercise and do &apos;what you want vs what you deserve&apos; sort of analysis and evaluate other factors as well. Money-wise its definitely not worth it but experience/exposure-wise I think I am getting decent exposure and kind of work I wanted to do. So lets see how things unfold in future. Best wishes.
