KPmG: SCI team. does anyone know much about it? A recruiter has gotten me an interview for Manager position - I have just finished my MBA from INSEAD. I have 6 years previous experience consulting for PWC in the USA.IS the SC team any good?

I'd like to know what kind of compensation to expect at this division in Europe. Is it on par with the ITA/risk & compliance divisions or better?

I can only offer a Scandinan perspective:- Sweden: very strong as they hired ex-MBB partners and have good PE relations there- Denmark: very small practice. I believe some of the SCI team often do financial due diligence work , when there is no commercial DDs on the table. In general, I don't think SCI does any non-deal related work, such as business/corporate strategy.

Still, what compensation could you expect at the starter (executive) level? Would it be the same as in the rest of transaction services (corporate finance level)?

If you have an MBA from INSEAD why are you joining KPMG?

Why not? If you can't do the MBBB thing and want to do consulting at IT implementation, Operational Level then as with the big four it is a good bet

If I may ask, Phillipo, how did you finance your MBA at INSEAD? You don't have to answer obviously. I had an offer from INSEAD for their MBA, but when I put down on piece of paper how much it would cost me I didn't give it a second thought. It was too much of an investment for me for an MBA. Congratulations, however. Manager position at KPMG sound good, but surely you can do better then KPMG with INSEAD MBA. I know some managers from big4 with bachelors degree from far lesser known universities and/or business schools. Of course this doesn't matter if they will pay enough for you to realize some ROI on your MBA investment.

The SCI team isn't IT work or anything like that, it is an M&A specific unit
