I currently work as an managing consultant for PA and have just been offered a position of similar rank but slightly higher pay at PWC. Before I make a decision can anyone offer any advice on if I should move - whats PWC like to work for?

Why move anywhere for "slightly higher pay" unless you are unhappy where you are or you can see clear benefits to the move.There is always a risk with moving to a new company that it may not meet expectations. You may also loose out on benefits that come with long service from existing employer, e.g. longer notice periods if they get rid of you etc. You need a decent pay rise to cover off these downsides.

Apart from the "hard" benefits side of things, consider that the biggest loss you will suffer is reputation and support network (all the people that you have worked with, that know you are good, that are ready to help you out)... That's worth quite a lot, unless you feel stuck at PA and honestly believe PwC will offer a brighter future
