I get £46,000 (not in Strategy and no idea if it varies). There is no bonus as such below SC although there is the outside possibility of an "award".The best way to boost income is to vigorously recruit people as the payments are quite generous.

Not sure - I think the bottom of the scale for SCs starts at about £47,500, but I don't know whether there is any overlap between the scales. It could be that if you wanted £50,000 you would have to look to convince them to take you on at SC level. You can always ask, as long as you have good experience. It's not so ludicrously high to price yourself out of the market and make them think you have either (a) an over-inflated sense of self-worth or (b) that they can't afford you and would be wasting their time making an offer.Benefits - nothing too exciting. There is now a pension scheme. You get a sum which you can either spend on medical insurance, extra hols and that type of thing or just take as cash. The sum is rather small below SC level but at that point becomes enough for a car or whatever if you want.

I don't, but would guess about £60k, plus £5k benefits allowance and bonus. This figure seems to fit with the fee rates.

hi ya, in my experience, there are definite overlaps between levels - so a Consultant might go up to £60k, then a Senior Con might start at say, £56. My advice to you is read up on the art of negotiation, prepare your argument, aim high, and above all, when you state what you're looking for, include a couple of things (e.g. car allowance) which you'll concede on, and then SHUT UP...if there's a long silence, don't be tempted to fill the gap...this is the point at which you need to put the pressure on them to come back with a counter offer. good luck with it, not sure if this helps though!

these salaries seem a bit low to be honest, by at least 20-30%the starting salary for all SCs in the USA is around 110k plus 20k sign on (mba recruits top b schools)salaries are usually higher in london; I would expect SC salaries to be from 50-65 k basic plus all the rest.SM is much higher for sure, I would guess range from 85 to 110k plus sales related bonus. average partner salary at DC last year was in excess of 760k.

surely these figures must be higher for those in the strategy department? They seem lower than kpmg, accenture and miles below EY. I find this hard to believe - are you sure these are not the figures for thier technology practice?
