Are there many 'experienced' graduates joining? I am looking at the application form and it seems totally aimed at undergraduates, I can't highlight my last few years at all. It gives options of being 'School Head' and 'Club Treasurer', I did all that 3 years ago!J

Are you looking at the grad application form then?? If so, maybe you shouldn't apply!

Well their FAQ clearly states that older graduates can apply... I have had no problems on applications for other firms. For example their employment section gives NO space to describe responsibilities and success in fairly without that sort of information?I was just wondering if actually they are tailoring their admissions to the 'younger' lot?

Sorry that third paragraph meant to say:For example their employment section gives NO space to describe responsibilities and success, how can they compare each application fairly without that sort of information?

Not just a comment on EY, but generally it makes sense that they'd want fresh graduates for consulting. There's falling demand for inexperienced consultants. With fresh grads at least they can put them to work doing menial crap and number-crunching. Grads a couple years out of uni are not as inclined to take the bullshite but also don't have the experience to credibly stand in front of a client. Better (and more profitable) to spend a few years in industry then come in as an experienced hire.

FYI - joined BAS in the Finance & Performance Mgt group (not FS) a few months ago and so sure all good. Lots of build has been done and I see the benfit in training etc. Seems to be lots of work now we have moved the focus away from build. Can't comment on the other groups in BAS

To BigD: what is the initial training for new consultant (not fresh graduate but with prior commerce experience) in the Finance & Performance Mgt group at BAS in E&Y?
