Hi All, I have the E&Y Technical Interview very soon. Any idea what this entails: types of questions; formality; details required; case study?Would really appreciate the views/tips of those who have been through it.Many thanks for any non-BS responses.

The interview is very straight-forward. Expect a case study for about 45 minutes plus a detailed walkthrough of your previous work / project experience. Hint -- this is an accounting firm, and they'll expect you to work your way through a balance sheet in the case study regardless of service area.Not sure what level you're applying at, but if at exec/manager level there will be an assessment day afterwards, covering a group exercise, case study, presentation, written exercise, and partner interview.Good luck.

The above post is rubbish if youre enquiring about BAS. There is absolutely NO requirement for balance sheet analysis at ANY level. It follows a general consulting hire process: interview 1) cultural fit and case study 2) assessment day 3) partner interview If the partner likes you - you will get the offer on the spot. Now thats a nice thing!

Things may have changed since I interviewed, but I was definitely expected to be familiar with a balance sheet in my case study interview (for BAS). The nature of the case study may vary depending on which bit of BAS you're joining.
