I am tempted to apply for a consulting role within Assurance and Advisory.This role isn't listed under the Consulting service line. Rather, it is under Enterprise Risk Services line.Does this mean anything in career terms. E.g. If I'm interested in a career in IT Consulting, will I have just as much opportunity?

ERS belongs to a different service line than consulting but they effectively do consulting type work. More info on the Deloitte website but in a nutshell the consulting service line get paid more at juniro and medium levels while ERS progress through their levels faster. ERS also get more responsibility earlier.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking more along the lines of TI - Financial Services now... How senior are we talking before ERS catch up? Manager level or Senior Consultant? Are they both equally customer focused or is ERS less so?Also, which is most competitive to get in to?Cheers
