I need some advice- been offered a job in the TI practice as manager- currently in Industry and want a changei need some help?what is the work life balance like? - long hours or not?are assignments mainly london based and if i said that was what i wanted would it be possible?what are the people and promotion prospects like?i want to join more of a strategic consultancy and not an ACN with loads of delivery teams want to work in smaller teams adding value which is what i am told deloitte offers youany advice appreciated on deloitte, this practice and then future career options which i see as staying in consultancy and going for partner or moving back out into industryother option is i just stay in industry?

Each year in a consultancy is like 1.5 to 2.5 years in industry. Deloitte, TI is great and it is a good time to join as growth is good and projects are diverse. Work life balance is generally good over a year. Some months are busier than others.

whattodo,I have also been offered a Manager position in the TI practice. They have given me an offer of 60k plus benefits. I think this is a little low, is this comaprable to what you have been offered. I realise that we may have differing levels of expereince and expertise but I wanted to get a feel for whether I have been offered a salary at the lower end of the scale or is it about right.thanks

mine is a little higher than this- but as you say it depends on experience level etc- what type of experience do you have- what is your background?do you know how long they will wait for you to start- i want to take some holiday in between jobs and will have 6 weeks notice so i would like to tell them i will join in about 10 weeks of accepting offer- does this cause an issue?

I have 10 years experience in total and 6 of them in software. What about you?Re start date, they are flexible as they have an induction at the start of each month
