Dear all,Having decided upon a career change, I have recently completed an MBA at Durham. Previously I have worked with Ericsson telecom for 12 years in an project management/implementation role. Would this combination of MBA and experience be attractive to consutancy firms or am I barking up the wrong tree?Andy

Defo. You've not only got relevant project / imp experience, you also have a sector specialism. 2 big ticks there. Who to apply for will depend on the type of project management experience [change, IT, strat etc]

I agree it looks good on paper. The only question I have is how much of a "change" you're angling for? You could easily get a job at big consultancies in Telecoms, IT or Project Management practices, but if you want to expand in to completely new areas you may find it a bit harder.
