Hello all,I am european engineer working in Korea for a big automotive supplier (60000 people worldwide but the Korean subsidiary is quite small, about 300 people). I have been in this company since january (first job), I was implied in the industrial strategy until july and now I am working on manufacturing cost reduction.I plan to apply in consulting firms next year in july so I would like to know if you think my experience would be considered as a good thing? And also if some of you know if consulting firms in Korea hire foreigners?Thank you in advance for your replies!

1. lots of consulting firms in Korea, all the major ones, but a base requirement is that you are billingual.2. you want to come to Korea as an expat, to be hired in Korea under that respective subsiderary, may give you less benefits and salary, that isn't always the case, but its happens.3. Your experience seems fine; in Korea, the interview and case study holds a lot of weight, but don't expect that since you're a foreigner you'll get any special consideration because everyone at the top firms are all billigual at a professional level. 4. I'd suggest using a headhunter and see where that leads you, but of course applying directly is good too because nearly all the firms have open times for applications.anyway(s), good luck!

Thanks!Actually, about point 2, it is not that I want to come to korea, I am already there and want to stay.As you say, I think language is the major problem, I am "bilingual"...but french/english!I can speak Korean but not yet fluently for a professionnal usage.Fighting, until July, I still 10 months to improve! If somebody else have information, please help!
