Hi all,Most consultancy websites I have visited seem to prefer their people to have (as well as an MBA) a first degree in engineering or other quantitative subjects. Are there any out there that consider people with a first degree in a subject like English and an MBA?Thanks!

With a good MBA we would (and I think most firms would) look at that and your experience. But your quantitative ability would be a clear point to probe in interview. We are a VERY quantitative firm but have hired several classicists even as graduate entrants - because they were fine on our numerical aptitude test

Most consultantcies will take a good arts degrees- a good arts degree from a good uni usually means lots of UCAS points, and a wide mix of skills. Apply, you will be fine- and any slight doubts that someone may have will have been written off by the MBA
