Hi Everyone,New to the forum here. Glad to see that there are online communities like this. Simple question here:What do you guys typically bring when you travel for the week? What's in your bag and why?Personally I am trying to figure out if there is something that I don't need to bring...or something that I've totally over looked.

Seriously??

Are we meant to respond with comments such as this:"I like to bring a toothbrush with me because it means I can brush my teeth in the morning and keep my breath smelling nice"?

And in the evening.I tend to bring galoshes. To help me navigate puddles.

DependsIf I am doing a project and working with a comms agency in London I take condoms. If working in Swindon I take Viagra.DC

Really interesting question. It's amazing just how many people have no clue about what to pack when they travel. Let me give you my opinions:> If I'm away for a week, a second pair of underpants is absolutely vital - you simply cannot rely upon your Monday pair lasting all week. > A framed picture of your family is always good to brighten up those drab hotel room walls. If you have no family, a picture of your dog or cat will suffice. If you have no dog or cat, bring a picture of your CEO to motivate you.> I always bring some basic food supplies - flour, eggs, cooking chocolate - in case you're trapped on the trainIn terms of toilettries, I bring everything - deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, lubricating oil, hair removal cream and my @rse/face towel....

If you wash them out with shampoo in sink in your hotel room and then leave them draped over the electric heater all night, they will be lovely and fresh for you in the morning. Very good if you have a big presentation to make. Alternatively, if you line your underpants with folded up toilet roll, you don't get any skidmarks or a smelly gusset and can easily go a fortnight that way.

Some of these responses sound facetious?On a serious note, I always noted how Partners seemed to arrive at our projects with a single very expensive overnight bag, while the rest if us schlepped around with 2-3 bags, laptop cases and suit carriers.I started packing a small bag with hardly anything in it. Fiendishly I then packed a larger empty bag, FOLDED UP INSIDE THE SMALL BAG. I then arrived at the client site looking like a Partner with my one small bag. During the week I'd buy new clothes and on a Friday, I'd pack all the clothes AND THE SMALL BAG into the larger bag. Then I'd leave the client site STILL WITH JUST ONE BAG!I know. It's freakin mama-feffin genius!! Within a year I had made Partner.
