Hi,I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on Cognizant Business Consulting's (CBC) Strategic Services practice. I would like to know what the culture is like and what sort of projects they are engaged in.Further, any info regarding the consulting job grades in CBC would be particularly appreciated, especially in terms of how they align with Accenture or Capgemini.Thanks in advance for any replies!

Cognizant, a fast growing technology services firm wanted to get into consulting and hence created CBC some five years ago. But all that they managed to get was technology consulting projects. Hence, they created another subset called Strategic Services, within CBC to create a brand image. All I know from my friends in CBC is that only a few select folks get to work in their Strategic Services unit. CBC ranks are a level higher than CapGemini i.e Consultant in CBC is equivalent to a Senior Consultant in Cap, and VP at CBC is equal to a Senior VP at Cap. Cheers, SC at CG

Nothing strategic about CBC . They are just doing project-specific body shopping.

Interviewed with them some time ago initially were keen on generalists, are now looking for resources in particular service lines. Have a friend who works there and has been embedded in a pharma account for a long period of time so I could see the bodyshopping vibe as pretty accurate. That said he seems happy enough .... comparison with accenture or cap-g brand names sorry nowhere near
