Hi, allI am a life scientist with a PhD degree from a top university, but I am very keen to learn business and management and to use my transferable skills in problem solving and statistics (SPSS, EXCEL) in my job. I like to help people so I'm considering consulting jobs, which at the moment I understand as what Digby Jones does in trouble shooter. However, I have one big concern. I am a part-time tutor and often work in the evenings and weekends, to help people who are keen to study but do not have the resources. I intend to do it as a long-term part time job as I feel it is a good thing to do. But I need a full time job to support my living, as I decided to charge low for tutoring. Would it be possible to consider any consultancy jobs if I need to work in regular hours or at least with an advanced notice for working late? What is the hours like in big/small consultancy firms? If I compromise to tutor only at Sat/Sun, is it possible Many many thanks for all your help!!
