Hi Expcons15,I have a Case Study Interview tomorrow and wondering if the case study focuses on HR issues and solutions for Talent and Organization practice? Or it could totally unrelated to HR?What was your experience?
I've recently been through the case study+ MD Interview and it basically involved a 30 min discussion with the MD around a 1 page case study, followed by a general chat around my CV/skills for the role. The case study was based on a merger between two very different banks, who were experiencing a number of issues due to their differences. I had 10 minutes to review the study (the MD left the room during this time), identify the main issues that were highlighted and come up with some recommendations. The issues were fairly straightforward to identify but the recommendations required a bit more thought. Once the MD returned, I had to run through each of the issues and provide my recommendations to him. He asked quite a few follow up questions as we went through each point. However, there's no right or wrong answer. They are basically just looking to see how analytical you are and how well you can think on your feet. The MD went through my CV in a lot of detail so it would be good to make sure you are thorough with it and can describe any projects/achievements in detail.Hope that helps!
