I've recently been through the case study+ MD Interview and it basically involved a 30 min discussion with the MD around a 1 page case study, followed by a general chat around my CV/skills for the role. The case study was based on a merger between two very different banks, who were experiencing a number of issues due to their differences. I had 10 minutes to review the study (the MD left the room during this time), identify the main issues that were highlighted and come up with some recommendations. The issues were fairly straightforward to identify but the recommendations required a bit more thought. Once the MD returned, I had to run through each of the issues and provide my recommendations to him. He asked quite a few follow up questions as we went through each point. However, there's no right or wrong answer. They are basically just looking to see how analytical you are and how well you can think on your feet. The MD went through my CV in a lot of detail so it would be good to make sure you are thorough with it and can describe any projects/achievements in detail.Hope that helps!

Hi Expcons15,I have a Case Study Interview tomorrow and wondering if the case study focuses on HR issues and solutions for Talent and Organization practice? Or it could totally unrelated to HR?What was your experience?[quote]I've recently been through the case study+ MD Interview and it basically involved a 30 min discussion with the MD around a 1 page case study, followed by a general chat around my CV/skills for the role. Hi Spencer, I had my MD/case study interview last week and waiting for outcome. Broken into two parts. Part I was HR...the usual competency based questions and nothing else. Interviewer was fairly detailed but once you're prepared and are used to competency based questions (STAR methodology) this shouldn't phase you at all. Part II was with the MD. First bit MD was covering my CV. Going a bit indepth et all. Next bit was the case study which was focused on telecoms as that was the area i was being interviewed on. 10 minutes to read and then you advise after. There's no right, wrong or perfect prep for this as i found out. You just have to do your best there and then. I can't say i was as impressive as i'd personally have wanted there but i'd like to think i made grounds on this during next bit that followed which had to do with general questions surrounding the telecoms industry which i was fairly comfortable with. Finally an opportunity to ask the MD questions. Advise: Do your research about accenture and their past projects. I threw in a few of those as examples when answering certain questions as well as responding to the case study and i thought the MD was impressed as these were projects he wasn't even aware of.MD/case study feedbacks will vary from person to person but i hope this helps to an extent. All the best.
