Hello Everyone,Please I urgently need information on EY's case study interview for a Senior Consultant position within the Advisory Service Line. I recently passed the telephone interview and would be attending the case study interview in a few days time.I am aware that the case study will be IT related but I need more insights to be able to better structure my preparations. For example, is it a merger and acquisition type case study or is it a market entry based case study?This job opportunity is very important to me. Hence, I would really appreciate if people in the house who have recently gone through the second interview stage could help with clear and useful information on EY's IT Advisory case study.As I mentioned before, this is a very urgent request. Swalls - calmmmmmmmm........No-one will be able to provide you with what the case study will be as they change all the time for obvious reasons.The only thing that you can really prepare is your approach to case studies. What structure you can adopt and how to apply this to the case at hand - there is loads of information on the web. No-one will do this research for you. As an initial point of reference around case study prep, look up 'Victor Cheng - case study preparation' or similar. It should provide you with some thoughts on how to approach the case study. He also has videos on youtube. *caveat*- this is merely a starting point for you and is by no means the only information you should go off. If you studied SWOT/PEST/Porter's 5 Forces in Uni or similar then these can also come into play.

Many thanks Tacitus1. I have been brushing up my knowledge of business analysis models such as SWOT, PEST, etc like you mentioned. Just wanted to find out a little bit more about the case study to enable me focus my prep. While it's true that the case study questions are likely to change from time to time, it would still be very helpful to get some information regarding the areas that have been assessed in recent times. So here I go again - please charitable fellas in the house, kindly share your experiences on this case study. Really need to streamline my prep.....thanks for your time.

Swalls,at what point will your brain tell you....a) there is no way to tell exactly what the test will be - there would be little point if there was.b) perhaps people already working at at E&Y (and lets face it anyone who has either failed the test or not taken it is a fairly poor source of advice) might prefer their future colleagues NOT to be lazy, cheating, glory hunters, but instead capable of doing their own work above the standard the firm expects.Just a thought?????

So what do you intend to do once hired by EY and asked to think on your feet with a client? Ask them for what they want to hear then regurgitate it to them Parrot fashion? Look, there is a good reason you are asked to do a case study in a consulting selection round, and its not to see how much you can borrow and steal from others, its about testing your thinking. Man up and just prep for it or call EY and tell them you don't feel up to the task.

Why so many critical responses? I am just asking for some hints people! I am not seeking answers to the case study from others.
