I work in a Big 4 firm with circa 5 years of Banking Consulting experience. I have a permanent job offer from RBS which I am considering. I also have job offers from more 'premium' brand banks, however from a job role perspective, I prefer the opportunity at RBS. The primary reasons I am considering a move into industry now - (1) Work Life Balance, (2) Mid-long term career objective is to get senior Change/Project role in BankingCouple of questions:1) RBS has an uncertain future and moreover there is uncertainty around the impending strategic review announcement. However, I have heard some great stuff about the culture, work life balance and the opportunities to move within different divisions. Trying to make up my mind about the employer. Looking for thoughts, advice please2) For a move from Consulting into Industry, what is a reasonable base salary uplift to expect/ask for. The current offers are circa 25% higher than my current base. (However I am due for/expecting promotion this year and my base is likely to go up by a similar amount). Please help me with your advice and guidance. I am struggling to make up my mind regarding this.

I wouldn't want to say too much, other than what you've elluded to - there's lots of change and consolidation happening at the moment. If you relish this (and the politics/risk that comes with it) then take the role.If you'd like something with a bit more stability then maybe think elsewhere..
