I've been working in economics, infrastructure, policy, feasibility and management consulting type consulting work for the past 7-8 years, in and out of government, big4 and engineering consulting firms. I've also had a previous career as investment advisor working with high net-worth clients in equities and fx. I'm now interested in getting into VC / PE firms, but I suspect I may need to get into broader corporate finance area first to acquire few years of transaction and due diligence work before moving into more boutique firms. Anyone can shed light on which Big4 or even IB would be a good place to start that offers good project experience, reasonable working culture and decent pay for a manager level?
