foundation (grad) consultant - band 5 (30 - 34K)consultant - 6 (32 - 45K)snr consultant - 7 (35 - 60K)managing consultant - 8 (50 - 75K) + car (e.g. BMW 320)snr managing consultant - 9 (65 - 90K) + slightly better car (e.g. BMW 520)associate partner - 10 (90 - 150K) + much better car (e.g. BMW 635) + stock etc.partner (have their own grades A-E) (150K +) + jumbo jet (well, you get the idea - 70-90K car) + stock etc.Note there is overlap across the bands. Bonus can range from 2-12% below band 8. Seems to go up to 20-25% for band 9. Band 10 - depends on your performance - can be 50%. Partners make substantially more.

For band 5 you can go here... http://www-05.ibm.com/employment/uk/graduate-programmes/what-we-offer/index.shtml. 3 years ago this used to be 25K but they gradually increased the salary by 20%. There seems to be a general exercise (band 6-9) to increase salaries cause a few people were starting to leave. The source for 6-10 is me! But you can also chat with any of your buddies still at IBM and they'll pretty much confirm.

What you stated is generally in line with what I've seen - but even with talking to colleagues it's hard to get such precise figures! I'd say Band 7 is the first 'serious' raise. PBC (performance) ratings have a large impact upon starting salary when moving band.

Generally 20-30% raise for promotions. Other factors can come into play such as economic eenvironment
