HiI was selected by deloitte in Sept 2013(verbally confirmed). After that I was told that requirement went on hold and it will take time. Now its December, 2013 and I haven't got my offer letter yet. How should I take it? Releasing the offer letter will take some more time? or will not come at all? Please reply.

Typical Deloitte..!!Guess they are going through ' Not so good' times since last few months, where in they have put lot of jobs that they started recruiting as 'On hold' half way..!Your best bet would be to contact your HR / Recruitment contact from Deloitte, but frankly for the 'On Hold' jobs they hardly provide any updates...

Nothing to lose if you contact them after every 4 weeks or so for the 'On hold' jobs.I feel though that you may not always get a response.However, another thing that you can try out is, to check on their careers website.On their website they show all vacancies including those put on hold as 'Future Opportunities'.If you see the role that you applied for as 'Future Opportunities' then consider it as on 'Hold'.

I have mailed them, got an instant reply that requirement is on hold and will release offer letter as soon as any new requirement comes.Don't know if it should be taken positively.

I assume they're waiting to sell a big deal and then they'll release the offer letter so they can staff you up. You're probably dependent on the success of their sales teams...

Use the offer as leverage to have a far reduced recruitment process with one of their competitors. As that then progresses, use that as leverage with Deloitte.

HiYes, they can do anything they like and will adjust based on the circumstances. Submit your CV to the competitors and then follow up with a phone call saying you are at the late stages with Deloitte so would appreciate anything they can do to speed things up. I have fast tracked many such applications.As that progresses, phone Deloitte and tell them how you are advancing with a competitor. Clearly, in both cases your preference is their job, but you also need to be pragmatic.Remember having an offer from the competition is further validation that you are good. Also, human nature means people want something more if there is a chance they cannot have it :)Best of luck

Having other offers on the table may speed things up or at the least put you in a better bargaining position for salary negotiations.

i too got verbal confirmation, but my profile is n hold , did you got offer letter then?

These big companies take time for sending a offer and joining latter.

Same thing is happening with me. My last round of the interview took place on 26th Feb 2015. Since then I haven't got any sort of confirmation from Deloitte. No mails, no calls nothing. All went good. What to do now? Shall I call the HR team and enquire? It has been 1 week only. Or I should wait? I am a fresher so there isn't going to be any sort of salary negotiations.. After going through the whole day process is this what we suppose to get?I think its worst company i have ever seen.
