Hi all,I am working in a corporate strategy department with one of the Tech majors in Singapore. I got an option to move to HP SPaM group. So, Wanted to know how good is the HP SPaM team and what are the future options for people in there. My personal ambition is to grow in the Corporate Strategy role and then move to CxO roles later on.Thanks..

Mr Cool i suspect this is right up your street !

I know a bit about them.SPaM is HP's Strategic Planning and Modeling group. They are an analytics team, with members from the US and Singapore, that works internally at HP to support operational innovation and ops strategy. SPaM specialises in areas such as supply chain design, operations tools and processes, pricing analytics etc. Despite their terrible name, they are highly visible with senior executives within the company. In terms of team members, I don't know about the current team make-up, but from past experience I remember most had engineering Masters/PhDs from MIT/Stanford and came from supply chain consulting backgrounds.Cannot comment about future opportunities. I know was what your question was about!
