Hi all, Been a long time reader of this forum, first time poster, and hopefully a future contributor.But I'll selfishly get the ball rolling with a question of my own:I'm a strategy consultant from a very small boutique (think 20-30 people). I joined this company straight out of undergrad, and have so-far gained 18 months experience with 1 promotion.Problem is, due to our size and speciality, I've only worked in one industry (which is peculiarly insular).I realise that it's imperative I broaden my experience base, but given the size of my company, my networking opportunities are pretty slim.So what resources have you used/ would you advise one uses in order to network with the broader profession.-in London

However insular your industry specialism is, it's likely that there are collaborations of some sort going on, or areas where parts of the industry are looking at issues where other sectors are ahead.These are your networking points - reach out to specialists in these areas of convergence and just ask for some time to talk and learn about the issues/their insights. Use linkedin as a place to start.
